Manilva is one of the more inconspicuous of the Costa del Sol towns, but that is not to say that the town is inaccessible. Because the Spanish N-340 highway does not pass directly through Manilva, it is easy to miss.
Unlike other locales in the Costa del Sol, there is no rail service to Manilva, but the construction of one is part of the municipality’s plans for the next ten years.
When flying to Spain to visit Manilva, the first stop would be the Málaga Picasso International Airport. There are literally hundreds of flights everyday from various points of origin around the world that stop at the Málaga airport.
By bus, the Automoviles Portillo bus line operates an express service which is accessible just outside the arrivals hall. This bus travels directly to the bus station in Marbella. Travel time is 45 minutes and the approximate fare is 5 Euro. From Marbella, travelers should then take the bus to Estepona, and from Estepona, to Sabinillas and then to the general Manilva municipality.
